My life abroad has definitely been
an eye opening experience for me. It has been a lot of fun, but nonetheless
difficult at times. I work long hours in a boarding house, its occupants
being 90 teenage girls ranging in ages from 12 to 18. I also work in the PE
department conducting daily games with the students. QV is a very exercise
orientated school, and the kids spend up to 4
periods a day in sport. I’m also involved in the support for learning
department, where i help pupils improve their reading and writing
skills. It is a challenging job but it does have its rewards.
I have been able to concentrate a lot
on my dancing since i have been here, its my time
out, when i dont have
to think about anything but dance, and i need
that a lot. I miss competition so ill be making up for that in last July
and August where i will be competing in as many
Games as possible. I cant wait.
I have had the opportunity to dance
at a few functions Commissioners dinners and for Inspector General’s
meetings, which have been well received and something i
also enjoy doing.
One of the things i miss the most whilst staying here is my studio. The
familiar faces i use to see everyday just aren't
there anymore. But ill be home before i know it.
