Dancing for 40 years.
* During this time she has trained many Regional and State Champions
* Australasian Champions
* Champion of Champions of Australia
* Success has also been achieved in overseas championships.
Cheryl is a:
* qualified Teacher with NDAA (National Dancing Association of Australia)
* qualified Adjudicator with the SOBHD (Scottish Official Board of
Highland Dancing).
* A teacher member of the SDAA (Scottish Dancing Association of
Australia)
·
UKA Examiner
At the end of 1998 Cheryl decided to include cross training with SOBHD
technique to try to build a highly competitive dance into an "injury
free" competitor. Because of the length of time an Australian dancer
has to train and compete at a top level (both nationally and
internationally) it was felt it was necessary to change the method of
training to cater for the length of time a dancer was expected to stay at
their peak.
·
Cheryl has
judged and given workshops extensively throughout Australia. She has judged and
taught in New Zealand,
judged in Canada, USA and Scotland, including the
prestigious World Championships at Cowal.
OzScot Australia Team was a dream to draw
together dancers from all over Australia
as a Team representing Australia
in International or Corporate Events.
In 2002 Cheryl was invited to take a team of 16 Australian dancers
to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and 46 dancers in 2004. These were the
first international event for OzScot Australia. More recently, Cheryl put together a
team of 150 dancers from across Australia
for the EMT in Sydney.
In November 2005 OzScot Australia performed for the King of Oman
in Muscat
at the Oman Royal Police Tattoo.
In April of this year OzScot Australia
Team performed in Sydney
at the Salute to the Anzacs. OzScot Australia
has been booked for Scotland 2007 and negotiations are underway for two
other international events in the next 3 years.

Mrs Amy Roach

Amy has been teaching Highland Dancing for
the past twelve years. Amy, a very successful competitive dancer, is a
former Australasian and Champion of Champions of Australia Title holder.
Amy placed 5th in the Adult World Championship in 2000 as well winning
the British Open and British Overseas Championship in 1999.
* Amy is a qualified teacher with the SDAA
* A qualified teacher with the BATD (British Association of Teachers of
Dance)
* An examiner with SDAA,
* A qualified Adjudicator with the SOBHD.
Amy has performed as a guest solo dancer in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo
in 1997 and 1999 and as a team member with the OzScot
Australian Highland Dancing Team in 2002.
Amy's role in OzScots Tattoo success in 2004
and 2005 was on the administrative level as she had two beautiful
children, Patrick in January 2003 and Sian
in December 2004. In 2006 she has taken on more of her role as assistant
director of Ozscot Australia, being involved
with choreography and team selection.
Amy was the first Australian dancer to combine the technique of the SOBHD
with cross training, including plyometrics,
weight training and pilates. She now implements
this style of training in the classes and workshop she instructs.
This style of training allowed Amy to stay at the top of the Competition
Ladder undefeated in Australia
without injury. OzScot is a strong advocate of
this style of training for its Championship Dancers.
